Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has challenged Ghana’s judiciary, claiming newly appointed judges under the NDC government may jail NPP members with little provocation.
“If the speculations turn out to be true, I want to be the first to be jailed to redeem my party,” he stated on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo show.
Afenyo-Markin criticized recent judgments, including the Abronye DC case and the Kpandai parliamentary rerun, arguing they show flaws that could undermine democracy.
He warned that partisan judicial decisions risk public trust and called for accountability and impartiality in the courts.
