learned that flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NP), Kennedy Agyapong, will submit his nomination forms on August 27, 2025.
According to persons close to his camp, the former legislator will be submitting the forms at exactly 1 pm at the party’s headquarters.
He is expected in the company of his wife and members of his campaign team.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) opened nominations for persons interested in contesting for the flagbearership to pick their forms on July 29, 2025.
A spokesperson to the flagbearer hopeful in a statement issued via social media said “This nomination marks more than just a political step; it is a bold declaration of Hon. Ken’s determination to secure victory for the NPP in 2028. It is a call to every Ghanaian who believes in leadership anchored on patriotism, honesty, and discipline.
Above all, it is a firm assurance of a future where promises are honored, ideas are turned into results, and our nation delivers lasting prosperity for its citizens.
The journey for Victory 2028 begins now. Let us come together and make it happen”.
Kennedy Agyapong is seeking to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2028 elections. He holds the view that the party needs a new trajectory, and he is the leader to take the party down that path.
According to the party’s timelines, the final day for the filing of nominations is August 28, 2025.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will go to the polls on January 31, 2026, to elect a flagbearer who will lead the party in the 2028 election.
