Presidential aide Rosemond Obeng has urged the leadership of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to consider boycotting the 2028 general elections and focus instead on recovery and reorganization.
Speaking on Angel TV, Madam Obeng said the NPP is still struggling with the shock of its 2024 election defeat and may need group counselling to regroup effectively.
According to her, four years may not be enough time for the party to reset and mount a serious comeback.
She explained that her comments were meant as “humble advice” in the interest of Ghana’s democracy, adding that the current posture of the NPP does not reflect a party ready to return to power.
