Ghanaian songstress Efya is clearing the air about long-standing misconceptions surrounding her personality.
In a recent interview with Anita Akuffo on TV3 (Dec 10, 2025), she explained that many people misread her confidence and calm demeanour as arrogance.
According to Efya, the issue often comes from how some individuals approach celebrities with a sense of entitlement.
She stressed that streaming an artiste’s music doesn’t give anyone the right to speak to them disrespectfully.
“People think I’m not a nice person; it’s because I’m much grounded, I guess,” she said, adding that the energy people bring influences how she responds.
Efya emphasised that she values respect, healthy boundaries, and genuine interactions — qualities that sometimes get mistaken for being unfriendly.
