The Ghana Police Service has arrested key members of a notorious highway robbery gang believed to be behind a series of armed attacks, robberies, and a murder across the country.
The suspects, identified as Kwame Bediako, also known as “Star Boy,” and Kofi Ishmael, are accused of leading the gang, which allegedly targeted motorists, trailer drivers, civilians, and even a police officer between 2023 and 2025.
According to police, the group operated along major highways, including the Tema Motorway, Achimota Forest Road, Suhum, Nkawkaw, Juaso, and parts of the Kumasi route.
Firearms, ammunition, and other weapons were recovered during the arrests, and several accomplices have also been picked up.
Authorities say some suspects are still at large, and investigations are ongoing.
