“Sarkodie contributed about 80 percent to my growth — Fancy Gadam

Fancy Gadam, in an interview with Max TV yesterday, opened up about Sarkodie’s major impact on his rise in Ghana’s music scene through their hit collaboration “Total Cheat.”
He explained that when Sarkodie first announced him as the New Artiste of the Year in 2017, many Ghanaians heavily criticized him, questioning who he was and which songs he even had to deserve such an award. What they didn’t know was that he and Sarkodie were cooking a massive record that would soon become a nationwide anthem.
According to Fancy Gadam, once “Total Cheat” was released, Sarkodie took its promotion personally to the extent of performing it at his Rapperholic Concert and constantly pushing it to a wider audience. That exposure, he said, introduced him properly to music lovers in the southern parts of Ghana and beyond, which he will forever appreciate and respect Sarkodie for such golden opportunity.
