Asuom Kontihene, Nana Boadi Amponim Oboadie III, has stirred public debate with a series of controversial remarks while assessing President John Mahama’s first year in office.
Speaking to the media, the traditional leader harshly criticized the five NPP presidential hopefuls, describing them as “unfit for the race.” He further stated that NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah “should stay away from any presidential ambition.”
Nana Amponim III also made explosive allegations concerning former President Akufo-Addo and former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta comments which have already triggered widespread discussion across the political space.
Despite the controversy, the Kontihene strongly endorsed President Mahama, insisting that the current administration’s performance warrants “a third run” and praising Mahama’s leadership over the past year.
