The president of Ghana reaffirmed his dedication to furthering the ECOWAS protocols, particularly those related to the unrestricted flow of people and products throughout the region.

Mr. Mahama requested that the envoy deliver his message to Mr. Tinubu, telling him not to worry about the recent demonstrations against Nigerians living in his nation.

He asserted that Nigeria and Ghana will not permit anything to separate them since they are brothers with a common past.

He reiterated that anxiety was actually caused by the resuscitation of an old film that was created by a Nigerian living in Ghana more than ten years ago, but he was happy to report that the problem was quickly resolved. He assured the envoy of the safety and protection of Nigerians’ lives, property, and companies in Ghana, claiming that the demonstrators were not older than fifty.

Mrs. Odumegwu-Ojukwu thanked Mr. Mahama for his hospitality and explained that the envoy’s purpose was to ease tensions in Ghana after a video that went viral was directed at Nigerians.

She claimed that every Nigerian back home was worried about the state of affairs and worried for the safety of Nigerians in Ghana, as well as their homes and businesses.

According to her, the purpose of the tour was to help form a permanent Nigeria-Ghana Joint Commission.

According to the minister, the joint commission would assist in addressing the youth-related migration issue brought on by the high number of unemployed individuals under 45.

We are encouraging our youth to stay in Nigeria, and if it is necessary to migrate, they are to be great ambassadors,” Mrs. Odumegwu-Ojukwu said.
