Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has thrown his weight behind Ghana’s women’s football team as they prepare for their biggest test at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Leicester City forward delivered a heartfelt message to the Black Queens ahead of their semifinal clash against host nation Morocco today. His words come at a crucial moment when the team needs all the support they can muster.

“To my sisters, the Black Queens! I’m beyond proud of the way you’ve represented Ghana on the biggest stage. Your determination, skill, and teamwork are an inspiration to us all,” Ayew said.

The captain emphasized the magnitude of the occasion, knowing that facing Morocco on home soil presents unique challenges for the Queens.

“As you prepare to take on Morocco in the semifinals, I want you to know that the entire Ghanaian football family is behind you,” he continued.

“We’re rooting for you and we believe in your ability to make history. Go out there, give it your all, and make Ghana proud! Let’s do this, Queens!”
