The Electoral Commission has announced a rerun of the Kpandai Constituency Parliamentary Election following a directive from the Tamale High Court.

In a statement signed by the Deputy Director of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr. Fred Tetteh, the Commission said the court’s ruling of November 24 ordered that the election be conducted again within 30 days.

According to the Commission, the directive became actionable after it received a formal notification from the Clerk to Parliament on December 9.

The letter informed the Commission of “the occurrence of a vacancy in the Membership of Parliament,” confirming that the Kpandai seat had become vacant.

“The Electoral Commission will hold a rerun of the Parliamentary Election in the Kpandai Constituency on Tuesday, 30th December, 2025,” the statement said.

It added that the rerun would involve only the three candidates who contested the 2024 Parliamentary Election in the constituency.

The Commission emphasized that it was acting in line with the court order and the official communication from Parliament.
