Plans to lay legendary highlife musician Daddy Lumba to rest at his East Legon residence have hit a brick wall, courtesy of Ga traditional elders.
The elders have officially voiced their opposition to the proposed burial, citing deep cultural and traditional concerns.
According to them, burying the music icon within a residential home goes against long-standing customs that govern death and the resting place of the departed in Ga land.
The objection has since ignited widespread conversation across the country, with many Ghanaians weighing in on the delicate balance between family wishes, tradition, and respect for the late icon.
As discussions intensify, all eyes are now on the family and traditional authorities to see how the legendary musician will ultimately be laid to rest.
