“Yahoo is not paying now, so I turned to Stealing” — Suspect Confesses After Arrest.

A 25-year-old man, Emeka Osemele, has been arrested in Delta State for stealing a mobile phone, and his reason for turning to crime has left many talking.

Osemele was nabbed in the Boji-Boji Owa area of Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area, by members of the Owa Youth Vigilante.

But when he opened up about his journey into crime, it wasn’t exactly the usual story.
In an interview with Ika Weekly Newspaper, the suspect, who resides in Alihame Community but hails from Aliagwai Community, confessed that he had been deep in the world of internet fraud for a long time.

According to him, “Yahoo Yahoo” had been his main source of income, and for a while, life was good.
But then, things took a turn.

“For the past six months, the Yahoo business has not been paying me again,” he revealed. “Because of that, I decided to start stealing people’s properties just to survive.”

His confession paints a picture of a young man who once lived large on illicit gains but found himself struggling when the online money dried up.

Desperate and with no fallback plan, he allegedly resorted to physical theft, leading to his arrest.
When asked what he had to say for himself, Osemele pleaded for mercy. “I want you people to please forgive me. It will not happen again,” he said.

But forgiveness, for now, will have to wait. Officers from the Owa-Oyibu Police Division have since arrived at the vigilante headquarters to take him into custody for further interrogation.

His story serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of building a life on quick money and what happens when the well runs dry.
