Residents in several communities have received a major boost in essential social services following the official commissioning of key infrastructure projects in the Tolon district on Monday, 27 April 2026.

The commissioned projects include the Yipelgu CHPS Compound, Waribogu Kamonayili CHPS Compound, the Nangbagu Borehole, and the Nyankpala St. Monica’s KG Block facilities expected to significantly improve access to healthcare, clean drinking water, and early childhood education in the beneficiary communities.
Addressing community members during the commissioning ceremony, the DCE for Tolon, Hon. Braima Seidu described the projects as a critical investment in human development and grassroots transformation.
He emphasized that expanding healthcare infrastructure through the CHPS compounds will bring quality primary healthcare closer to residents, particularly women, children, and the elderly, while the newly constructed borehole is expected to ease water challenges and improve sanitation in Nangbagu.
Community members welcomed the projects, as they took turns to express appreciation to government for the intervention with optimism that the new facilities will enhance living standards, promote development, and address longstanding social needs.
The successful completion and commissioning of these projects underscore a broader commitment by the district to community-centered development, with renewed calls on residents to take ownership of the facilities and ensure their proper maintenance for future generations.
