As part of efforts to bring its services closer to the public, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority(DVLA), has launched the Lorry Terminal project.
The project is to afford everyone who qualifies to drive an opportunity to undertake the process of acquiring the requisite certification to enable them drive.
Speaking at the launch at the Circle Kaneshie torero station on Tuesday, the Chief Executive Officer of DVLA, Julius Neequaye Kotey, announced that services the new Lorry Terminal Project will provide include, acquisition of new licenses, replacement of missing and expired licenses, conversion of foreign licenses, issuance of Internatio nation drivers permit, upgrade of licences, among others.
“It is my hope and believe that this initiative would be accepted, adopted, and given the needed patronage by our cherished drivers. This project is tailored for you, even though it remains opened to the general public”, he said.
According to Mr. Neequaye Kotey, the services will be deployed across all major terminals that have so far given approval for its implementation at least once on a monthly on a particular day. DVLA mobile service team would be available at a designated terminal to deliver service.
