The Covenant Prayer Camp established by Bishop Dr. Stephen Owusu Agyemang has been officially launched in a colorful ceremony in Techiman in the Bono East Region on Saturday, 18th April, 2026.

The well-attended event was themed “Covenant for Multiplication and Divine Increase,” drawn from Genesis 17:2.

The launch heralds a series of action-packed activities highlighting God’s abundant grace at a prayer camp that started in 2019.

Speaking during the launch, the founder and leader of the Covenant Prayer Camp and the Apostles Pentecostal Ministry International, Bishop Dr. Stephen Owusu Agyemang stressed that he wanted to follow God’s directions, not his own agenda.

He cited Samuel as an example. “Samuel was not only faithful to Christ but also always obeyed and adhered to the directions of God, and that is why he excelled as a man of God. That’s what I want to do,” he said.

He explained that he began the camp in 2019 with just a few members, and it has now grown into a thriving community.

He added that he seeks to be more spiritually inclined and has named the place “Apamkrom.”

“It is a vision I received from God to prepare this special place for prayers. I have resided here permanently since I discovered it,” Dr. Stephen Owusu Agyemang narrated.

Recounting his experience in God’s ministry, he said he was inspired by a divine call to establish the prayer camp as a beacon of hope and salvation for people from all walks of life.

“As we officially mark this milestone, we do not take it for granted. We recognize that it is only by the grace of God that we have come this far,” the man of God stressed.

While showing his special altar, Dr. Stephen Owusu Agyemang emphasized that the place is specially designated for serious Covenant Prayer with God. Phones are not allowed, and noise-making that disturbs others’ prayers is prohibited.

The prayer camp, named “Apamkrom,” allows people to reside there for many years.

The camp also has a school that runs up to JHS 1.

The guest speaker for the occasion, Major Prophet Isaac Kudjoe, commended Bishop Dr. Stephen Owusu Agyemang for availing himself as a vessel for God’s work.

“A covenant is a mutual agreement between two people, and it requires loyalty. What Bishop Owusu Agyemang has done is worth emulating, and we need to encourage and support him,” he said.

Major Prophet Kudjoe concluded that people need to dedicate some time for prayers, at least for two or three days.

Dignitaries including Nana Owusu Gyare II (Akwamuhene, Techiman), Nana Takyi Abeam II (Bamiri Krontihene, Techiman), Nana Yaw Sarfo Korsah III (Akisimasuhene, Techiman), Nana Antwiwaa Amoaah I (Akisimasuhemaa, Techiman), Techiman metropolitan Mayor, Hon. Adjei Mensah; Techiman North DCE, Hon. Adom K. Johnson, and Techiman traditional leaders were among the distinguished guests who graced the occasion.
