Nkoranza North MP Hon. Joseph Kwasi Mensah has donated 40 plastic chairs to the 154 Armoured Regiment in Sunyani to support their auditorium.

The donation, made on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, followed a request by military officials for auditorium equipment, especially, chairs.

In an interaction with Fabea FM’s Apiah-Kubi, Hon. Mensah noted that he had earlier supported the construction of the facility with building materials.

“As I have already supported the construction of this auditorium, I will see to it that all necessary resources to equip it are provided. I will support with all I can,” Hon. Mensah said during the presentation.

“I have you at heart, especially considering the critical role you play in national security,” he told the soldiers.

He urged them to remain patient and committed to their duties, adding that his office is working to bring employment opportunities to the constituency that would also benefit the security services.

The MP said the gesture was to improve conditions at the barracks’ auditorium and show appreciation for the military’s service.

Captain Leslie Fanyinka, Officer in Charge of the 154 Armoured Regiment, received the chairs on behalf of the soldiers and thanked the MP for the gesture.

Capt. Fanyinka appealed to the MP to continue supporting the barracks’ development projects, assuring him of the Regiment’s commitment to maintaining security in the region.
