Kennedy Agyapong has called for unity and fairness within the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) diaspora branches as the party prepares for its presidential primaries in January 2026.

The presidential hopeful expressed disappointment over growing divisions among members in the United States, accusing some party officials of abusing their positions to create tension.

“What surprises me is that some of our own in America, because of the positions they have, they call the cops to threaten you. Wake up!” he told the audience.

“We established NPP USA. Those in leadership positions, some have not even obtained visas to come here, yet they want to intimidate us. We will not allow it anymore.”

He urged members to remember the party’s democratic values and work together despite differences.

“We are calling for unity. We are asking for fairness. Justice is not in the interest of the strongest. We are Democrats. We have to tolerate each other,” he stressed Speaking at the Team Ken USA Annual Gala 2025 in New York.

Agyapong insisted that internal competition should not descend into hostility, warning against any attempts to impose candidates or stifle open debate.

“At the end of the day, we make the decisions ourselves. We will not allow ourselves to be cowards anymore,” he declared.

By shifting his focus from confrontation to collective responsibility, Agyapong positioned himself as both a defender of party democracy and a unifying voice in the lead-up to the primaries.
