SAMUEL CHUKWUEZE PROVIDES MATCH-WINNING ASSIST IN FULHAM’S 1-0 VICTORY OVER SUNDERLAND

Samuel Chukwueze made a decisive impact after coming off the bench, helping Fulham secure a hard-fought 1–0 win over Sunderland.
Introduced in the 64th minute, the Nigerian winger completely changed the tempo of the game, injecting pace, creativity, and urgency down the left flank.
His moment of brilliance arrived in the 84th minute when he delivered a beautifully curved, pinpoint cross from distance into the penalty area, an assist that led to the only goal of the match.
The quality of the delivery was so exceptional that Fulham players momentarily left the goal scorer and rushed to celebrate with Chukwueze, acknowledging the sheer class behind the pass.
Calvin Bassey was solid throughout the entire 90 minutes, showcasing strength and composure in defense, while Alex Iwobi put in 89 minutes of intelligent midfield play, linking transitions and keeping Fulham in control.
Sometimes it’s puzzling why does it feel like the players who shine for their clubs are not always the same ones who show up for the Super Eagles?
Watching Chukwueze today, immediately energizing the attack and producing the match-winning assist, makes you wonder how such performances can be consistently replicated for Nigeria.
