Kumawood actor Joseph Osei, widely known as Wayoosi, has added his voice to the ongoing political conversation between the NPP and NDC, and he’s not holding back.
In a candid Facebook post, Wayoosi compared the developmental records of the two parties and arrived at a clear verdict: the New Patriotic Party should remain in opposition for a while longer.
“When I honestly compare what I’ve seen under both governments, it tells me the NPP still needs to stay in opposition for some years,” he wrote.
He also took issue with those who insist former President John Mahama achieved nothing during his time in office, describing such claims as unfair and disconnected from reality.
“No amount of insults or propaganda will change my mind about him. Mahama is exactly the kind of leader Ghana needs at this moment,” he stated firmly.
Wayoosi ended his post on a warm note, praying for God’s blessings on the former president and affectionately calling him “His Excellency Kwame Mahama.”
His comments have since drawn mixed reactions, some praising his courage to speak his mind, others questioning his political impartiality.
Either way, the actor has made his position unmistakably clear.
