A young woman in the Akrofuom community of the Adansi South District in the Ashanti Region has expressed heartfelt gratitude to her Member of Parliament, Hon. Joseph Azumah, for providing free Wi-Fi in the area.
According to the resident, the initiative has not only improved connectivity but has also strengthened her relationship with her boyfriend.
She explained that she can now communicate with him through video calls and send intimate photos, which she says has helped keep the romance alive.
“We send naked pictures to our boyfriends, and this has saved my relationship,” she said in an interview.
The free Wi-Fi project, introduced by the MP, is intended to bridge the digital divide and give residents, especially the youth, access to educational, social, and professional resources online.
Community members have described the initiative as a game-changer, noting its positive impact on communication, learning, and daily life.
For this resident, it’s also been a relationship saver.
