Former NEIP Chief Executive, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, is of the view that the decision by Kennedy Agyapong’s team to set up an Anti-Election Rigging Squad ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries slated for January 31, 2026, is just to prepare the minds of his supporters of the impending defeat.

“Team Kennected has started preparing the minds of their supporters for the inevitable defeat. This is funny,” he shared in a Facebook post.

Flagbearer hopeful Ken Ohene Agyapong has formed an Anti-Election Rigging Squad ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries slated for January 31, 2026.

The move comes in response to growing concerns among his supporters about the possibility of electoral malpractice during the contest.

Announcing the bold initiative ahead of the 2026 primaries, Joojo Rocky, who heads elections for Kennedy Agyapong, said, “We are fully prepared to prevent any attempt at rigging these elections,” Mr Obeng stated, emphasising that the squad would work within the confines of the law”.

In the past weeks, polls have suggested that Kennedy Agyapong can win the flagbearer race.

However, there have been growing concerns about transparency and fairness in the election to take place on January 31, 2026.
