The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nkoranza North, Hon. Effah Patrick, has called stakeholders meeting to discuss the 2026 medium-term development plan in the district.
The purpose, according to the DCE, is to engage with various groups, such as community leaders, organizations, and residents, to assess progress, gather input, and refine the plan to ensure it reflects the community’s needs and aspirations for sustainable development.
In an interview with Apiah-Kubi on Fabea FM, Hon. Effah Patrick disclosed that the previous government’s effort on the district’s development plan failed to meet its target.
Hon. Effah Patrick stated that the engagements form part of the District Assembly’s mandate to its citizens.
He emphasized the importance of the engagement for the district, especially with the previous government’s medium-term ending in December 2025.
The community’s needs were outlined as follows: town roads, water extension, healthcare, education, improving livelihoods, and security.
He stressed that accelerating the district’s development agenda would depend on the collective contributions of all residents.
“The previous government failed to distribute the requisite common fund to the assembly for its intended purposes,” he noted.
Hon. Effah Patrick expressed that His Excellency John Dramani Mahama is determined to reset and develop the country, and the Nkoranza North district will not be left out.
After the meeting, Free sanitary pads and other clean items were distributed by Hon Effah Patrick, in collaboration with Nkoranza North District Assembly environmental department and District Education Services to schools in Busunya and Kranka circuit in the district.
