Family, friends, and dignitaries have gathered at the residence of the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, to mark a one-week commemoration in her honour following her passing.
The observance comes exactly one week after her death on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
Nana Konadu, wife of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings and founder of the 31st December Women’s Movement, is widely celebrated for her contributions to women’s empowerment and national development.
During the event, members of the public, political figures, and civil society representatives are expected to pay their respects at her residence, reflecting her legacy of activism and strong leadership in Ghanaian public life.
As the Rawlings family and the nation mourn her passing, the one-week observance serves as a moment of collective remembrance and recognition of her many years of dedicated service.
