Two people have been killed and another left in critical condition following a violent clash between rival gangs at Mpaasaaso Number 2 in the Ahafo Ano South West District of the Ashanti Region.

The incident, which occurred around 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, was reportedly between rival groups from Mpaasaaso Number 1 and Mpaasaaso Number 2.

Speaking to Citi News, the youth leader of the community, Kwadwo Asare, recounted that a similar confrontation occurred two years ago at Baniekrom, where three people were shot dead.

He alleged that one of the deceased, identified only as Commander One, had been training a group of young men involved in violent activities, including assaulting residents and issuing threats to community members.

No arrests have been made yet. The cause of the latest clash remains unclear, and police have launched investigations into the incident.
