Gunmen have abd¥cted students and staff from St. Mary’s School in Papiri community, Agwara LGA, Niger State. The exact number of victims remains unknown as the school is still compiling its records. Some witnesses reported seeing armed men storm the school early Friday morning, causing panic among students and staff.
A source confirmed the incident to Daily Trust, saying the church will issue an official statement later. Attempts to reach the Niger State Police Command were unsuccessful, and the spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, could not be reached.
This att+ck follows a similar incident in Kebbi State a few days ago, where t+rrorists abd¥cted at least 25 students from a government school, highlighting the escalating insecurity in northern Nigeria.
