The Ghana Armed Forces have conducted a long patrol along the border with Burkina Faso, moving through villages in the Upper West Region to tighten security and root out criminal hideouts.
Military personnel carefully combed through communities near Kayoro, Fielmon, and Gwolu, checking for any signs of cross-border criminal activity.
The operation was aimed at preventing crime and locating hideouts used by those who exploit the porous border.
The patrol comes amid growing concerns about insecurity along Ghana’s northern frontiers, with authorities determined to keep the country safe from spillover threats.
Residents in the area were alerted to the military presence as part of the exercise.
