US President Trump’s Neck Rash Draws Attention at White House Event

    March 2, 2026 — Washington, DC

At a Medal of Honor ceremony held at the White House on Monday, US President Donald J. Trump appeared with a visibly red rash on the right side of his neck, drawing widespread attention online and across media platforms.

During the official event where Trump awarded America’s highest military decoration to several service members, photographs and video footage showed a distinct reddish patch on the president’s neck, extending above his collar. The prominence of the rash sparked discussion across social media and news outlets.

In response to the attention, **White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella explained that the mark was the result of a “very common cream” being applied as a preventative skin treatment. The doctor said the regimen has been ongoing for about a week and that the redness is expected to last for several weeks as part of the treatment process. However, officials have not clarified the exact condition being treated or the name of the cream used.

The visible rash comes at a time when Trump’s health has been under increased public scrutiny, especially given his age (79) and previous episodes in which he was photographed with bruises on his hands or swollen ankles. News coverage has highlighted these recurring observations alongside official explanations, which have varied between physical activity, medical preventive treatments, and daily medication regimens.

Although the White House asserts that the skin irritation is benign and tied to a topical preventive therapy, some commentators and observers continue to question whether such physical signs will continue to influence public perceptions of the president’s health and stamina—especially during high-profile appearances.
