You’d think someone who stole millions would hide it well.

But former GT Bank Ghana employee Christopher Arthur allegedly did the exact opposite, living large, betting big, and spoiling two women, until the law finally caught up.

Arthur, who has since been dismissed and is now standing trial for embezzlement, is accused of wasting a staggering GH¢12 million on what can only be described as a reckless and extravagant lifestyle.

Here’s how reports say he splashed the cash:
    · GH¢600,000 on Aviator betting

    · A luxury trip to Dubai with his wife
    · Opening a spa for his wife
    · Buying a brand-new car for his wife
    · Opening another spa, this time for his girlfriend on Spintex Road
    · Giving out loans to several people, including some of his colleagues at GT Bank

But that wasn’t all. He also allegedly transferred money to a hotel attendant named Adafia Caesar Shadrack, who held accounts with Access Bank and Zenith Bank. In return, Adafia reportedly kept a cut of the funds.
Adafia has since been granted bail, but Christopher Arthur remains on trial.

Honestly, it’s all just sad. Whatever your thoughts, let’s remember him in prayers, because with a case like this, jail might be just around the corner.
