Deputy Attorney General Dr. Justice Srem Sai
The Deputy Attorney-General, Justice Srem Sai has said the Office of the Attorney-General has all evidence and documents intact regarding the ongoing trial of former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Boss, Kwabena Adu-Boahene.
In a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), Srem Sai explained that as of June 18, 2025 the A-G’s office had filed all the documents which it intended to rely on to prove the charges against the four accused persons standing trial in the case.
According to him, these documents filed include contracts of sale, bank wire transfer records, bank account statements, company registration documents, property ownership records and purchase receipts, INTERPOL stolen vehicle records, investigative caution statements and charge statements of each of the accused person, records of asset non-declaration, a flow chat of money movements through a complex web of bank accounts, and testimonies of the A-G’s three witnesses.
He further pointed out that certified court copies of each of these documents have been duly served on each of the accused persons, arguing that “it is not even realistic that the documents could be lost so as to jeopardise the prosecution of the case.”
On the current state of the trial, he stated that before the start of the legal vacation on July 31, out of the three prosecution witnesses, the first had completed testifying and had been cross-examined by the lawyers of three of the four accused persons.
The trial is expected to resume in mid-October when the courts return from the legal vacation.
Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), his wife Angela Adjei-Boateng, their associate Mildred Donkor, and their jointly owned company, Advantage Solutions Limited are currently standing trial for multiple counts, including stealing, causing financial loss to the state, and conspiracy, related to the alleged diversion of GH¢49.1 million in public funds.
At the heart of the case is the alleged diversion of GH¢49,100,000.00 from the Bureau of National Communications (BNC), the predecessor to NSB, under the guise of purchasing a cyber defence system that investigators say was never delivered.
