Musical artist Kyei Nwom has publicly accused media personality Abena Moet of scamming him out of GH¢2,000 allegedly paid to secure an interview opportunity on Abeiku Santana’s popular radio show.
Speaking on Angel FM, the artist revealed that he contacted Abena Moet with hopes of appearing as a guest on the show, only to be asked for a “token” payment that she claimed was needed by the program’s producer.
“Upon reaching out, the musical artist claims Abena Moet requested a token, with claims that the producer of the show needed that,” Kyei Nwom stated during the interview.
Eager to secure the appearance, the artist said he and his management team agreed to send GH¢2,000 to the media personality. However, after receiving the payment, Abena Moet allegedly failed to deliver the promised interview slot on Abeiku Santana’s show.
Kyei Nwom claimed that instead of the anticipated interview, Abena Moet offered him an appearance on a different program, which fell short of their original agreement.
Though speaking partially in jest, the artist indicated he would seek to recover the money paid to the media personality, highlighting ongoing concerns about financial transactions in media booking arrangements.
The allegations have sparked discussion within entertainment circles about transparency in media appearances and the practice of requesting payments for interview opportunities.
