Black Sherif emerged as the biggest winner at the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards after clinching the coveted Artiste of the Year award at a star-studded ceremony held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.

The night was filled with glamour, electrifying performances, and celebrations of Ghanaian musical excellence as top industry players, musicians, and entertainment enthusiasts gathered to honour outstanding achievements in the music industry.

Black Sherif capped off a remarkable year by taking home multiple awards, including Album/EP of the Year for Iron Boy, Best Hip-Hop Song for Where Dem Boyz, Best Afropop Song for Sacrifice, and Songwriter of the Year.
His triumph in the Artiste of the Year category saw him beat competition from top acts including Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Medikal, Wendy Shay, and Diana Hamilton.

Elsewhere on the night, Medikal won Best Hiplife Song with Shoulder featuring Shatta Wale and Beeztrap KOTM, while also securing Collaboration of the Year for the same song.

Kofi Kinaata was named Best Highlife Artiste and also won Best Highlife Song with It Is Finished, while Stonebwoy secured the Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste award.

In the gospel categories, Diana Hamilton emerged as Best Gospel Artiste, with Piesie Esther winning Best Traditional Gospel Song for Nyame Ye.

Rising star Kojo Blak enjoyed a strong showing on the night, winning Best New Artiste and Best Afrobeats Song for Excellent featuring Kelvyn Boy.

The awards ceremony once again highlighted the growth, diversity, and global appeal of Ghana’s music industry, celebrating both established stars and emerging talents across multiple genres.
