Rapper Sarkodie has been verbally abused by Ghanaian artist Showboy, who claims that he unfairly excluded him from one of Ghana’s largest performances and displayed partiality in the music industry.
On September 26, 2025, an emotional Showboy lash out in a video that was uploaded to X:
“You only help people who have low self-esteem. Those who humble themselves to you. I am a boss on my own; that is why you can’t bring such stupid things to my door.” he exclaimed.
He cited the yearly Rapperholic concert series as proof that Sarkodie had tried to marginalise him by focusing primarily on singers under his control.
“That is why you are bringing Kwaku Smoke and other young artistes to your Rapperholic. I have seen you don’t respect me, so there is no way I will respect you again,” Showboy asserted.
He conveyed his profound disappointment at being excluded.
“What will you show me, Sarkodie? I respect your brother because of his help; that is why I have been quiet all this time. But for you to do Rapperholic and not include me is a total disrespect,” he said.
On September 27, 2025, Sarkodie’s main concert brand, Rapperholic, will take place at Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi with the theme “The Homecoming.”
The concert’s stellar lineup, which includes performers like Shatta Wale and Kwaku Smoke, has already been revealed.
