It takes the fear of God – A Plus calls for moral leadership

Ghanaian lawmaker Kwame A Plus has urged Ghanaians to embrace integrity and God-fearing leadership in national governance, using his critique of the Public Accounts Committee as a wider appeal for moral renewal.

For him, the issue transcends partisan scrutiny and touches on the spiritual responsibility of leaders to act truthfully.

“In our country today, speaking the truth doesn’t require ‘bravery’,” he said in a social media post sighted by Lovinghananews.com. “We simply need to respect and fear God, and everything will align.”

He anchored his remarks in personal religious conviction, insisting that public office must be guided by conscience and reverence.

“My faith in God has deepened over time, and my devotion to Jesus has only grown,” he stated. “I recognize that life is short, and everyone will encounter judgment ultimately. Let’s fear God, for the sake of Ghana and prosperity.”

A Plus maintained that holding office without spiritual accountability leads to social and economic harm, arguing that the country cannot progress without leaders committed to truth.

While criticising Abena Osei Asare’s role at PAC, he emphasised that the broader lesson concerns the moral foundation of public duty.

“It takes the fear of God,” he said, urging leaders to approach governance with humility and accountability.

He ended his comments with a note of reflection and goodwill. “Wishing you all a joyful Sunday with love,” he said.
