The spirit of camaraderie, mentorship, and loyalty that defines the Osei Tutu Old Boys
Association (OTOBA) was once again on full display as members of the 2001 Year Group paid a
special visit to their alma mater to support the school’s National Science and Maths Quiz
    (NSMQ) Team.

The visit, filled with warmth and nostalgia, was aimed at encouraging and boosting the morale of the brilliant young contestants as they prepare for the 2025 edition of the national competition.

The team, which has been training rigorously over the past weeks, was visibly excited to receive the visiting Old Boys who came bearing both inspiration and material support.

The 2001 Year Group presented a cash donation of GHS 10,000.00, 5 Laptop Computers,
alongside provisions and packs of bottled water, to the team. The gesture, according to the group, is part of their continuous effort to give back to the school that shaped their values, discipline, and sense of excellence.

“We believe that investing in the NSMQ Team is an investment in the future of Osei Tutu Senior High School,” said Prof. Evans Asante, the School Prefect of the 2001 batch. “The team has shown great promise, and we want to encourage them to go all out and make Osei Tutu proud at the national level.”

Other members of the group present included Dr. Joseph Dwumoh Sarpong, Dr. Evans Coffie,
Hon. Agyei Darko, Pastor Abraham Aduafo, Mr. Kwaku Asamoah, Mr Samuel Acheampong; all
of whom shared words of motivation with the students.

The 2001 Year Group also used the occasion to call on other year groups of Old Boys
Association to emulate their gesture and extend similar support to the school, especially as Osei Tutu Senior High School prepares to mark its 87th anniversary celebration.

“This is the time for all year groups to come together and give back,” said Dr. Joseph Dwumoh
Sarpong, a leading member of the 2001 year group. “Our school gave us the foundation we stand on today. It is only right that we support the next generation to achieve even greater heights.”

The Assistant Headmaster, Mr. Rapheal Osei-Wusu in response, expressed deep appreciation for the visit and the generous donation. He noted that the gesture had reenergized their spirit and strengthened the confidence of the Team ahead of the competition.

“We are thrilled to have received such generous support from our old boys,” he said. “This will
not only help us in our preparations but will also remind us that the entire Osei Tutu family
stands behind us. We are determined to make the school proud.”

The atmosphere during the visit was charged with enthusiasm as both students and Old Boys
shared memories and exchanged inspiring words. The visit concluded with group photographs
and interactions between the Old Boys and the NSMQ Team members.

The 2001 Year Group’s visit stands as yet another reminder of the unwavering unity and support within the Osei Tutu Old Boys Association; a fraternity that continues to champion excellence, mentorship, and service to the alma mater.

As Osei Tutu Senior High School gears up for its 86th anniversary, gestures such as this
reinforce the collective resolve of its alumni to preserve the school’s legacy of distinction and to inspire future generations to uphold the Osei Tutu spirit of Vacus Land.
