NDC not the preferred choice; they’re here because they lied their way through – Ursula Owusu

Former Ablekuma West Member of Parliament Ursula Owusu-Ekuful holds the view that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is not the preferred political party to lead Ghana.

She says John Dramani Mahama and his government were allowed to lead because they lied their way to power.

According to her, the belief of the people of Ghana in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) waned because of the lies.

However, she believes the party will revive it.

“This caretaker NDC government is there not just because they are preferred; they are there because they lied their way into government, amidst lofty promises, and caused belief in us to wane. But we will revive it,” she stated.

She noted that by December 2028, the people of Ghana will be in dire need of change and the NPP needs to re-shape, re-organise, and put ourselves in a good place to effectively represent the desired change.

“December 2028 is soon upon us, and by which time the good people of Ghana and us all, as it is today, will remain in dire need for change. That is why we need to re-shape, re-organise, and put ourselves in a good place to effectively represent the desired change and restore the belief of Ghanaians in us as the institutors of growth and development.”
