GPL 2025/26: Bibiani Gold Stars host struggling Berekum Chelsea in outstanding clash

Reigning Ghana Premier League champions Bibiani Gold Stars are set to host Berekum Chelsea in their outstanding clash at the Dun’s Park today, October 23, 2025.

The Miners returned to winning ways with an emphatic 3-1 win over in-form Heart of Lions on Monday and will hope to continue that streak against Samuel Boadu’s side today.
That win eased the pressure on interim boss Nana Yaw Amankwah after suffering back-to-back domestic defeats to Asante Kotoko and Vision FC. Those two losses came after the team exited the CAF Champions League preliminary round with a heavy loss to JS Kabylie.
Meanwhile, Berekum Chelsea’s start to the campaign has been unimpressive, with only one win in five games. Last weekend, they lost 2-0 at home to Hearts of Oak – stretching their winless run against the Phobians to 11 matches.

Additionally, they have failed to score in six consecutive games against Hearts of Oak, which should be a worry for Boadu going into today’s encounter.
They haven’t been good travellers this term as well, drawing one and losing one with four goals conceded.
Gold Stars enter this battle as favourites, having won three of their last four home games against Berekum Chelsea. And with five goals scored already in two home games this season, they would fancy starting the game on the front foot.
The match kicks off at 3PM local time.
