Former Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) Board, Paul Adom-Otchere, has filed a lawsuit against the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), challenging a directive that compels him to declare his property and income.
The case, filed at the High Court in Accra under suit number GJ/0068/2026, seeks a judicial review of the directive issued by the Special Prosecutor on August 4, 2025.
Adom-Otchere contends that the directive is unlawful and constitutes an abuse of power. He is asking the court to quash the order, arguing that it violates provisions of the Office of the Special Prosecutor Act, 2017 (Act 959) and its accompanying regulations.
The suit further alleges that subsequent threats of legal action, property confiscation, and detention by the OSP amount to harassment and a violation of his fundamental human rights.
Adom-Otchere is seeking a restraining order to prevent the OSP from detaining him or curtailing his freedoms, in addition to general damages and legal costs.
He is represented by lawyers Yaw Boampong and Adu Brempong of Dame & Partners. The High Court is expected to fix a date for hearing in the coming days.
