Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited (SML) has strongly dismissed allegations by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) suggesting irregularities in its revenue contracts with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
Addressing a press conference on Friday, November 7, Legal Counsel for SML, Cephas Boyuo, described the OSP’s claims as baseless and inconsistent with verified evidence provided by state agencies.
He maintained that SML has, since its establishment, operated within the confines of the law under full regulatory supervision, technical validation, and ministerial oversight.
According to Mr. Boyuo, the company has contributed significantly to enhancing transparency, accuracy, and accountability in Ghana’s public revenue administration and will not allow its reputation to be undermined.
He contended that SML is a wholly Ghanaian-owned company with no political or public office affiliations and that its engagement with the GRA was aimed at improving national revenue mobilisation.
“Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Limited is a wholly Ghanaian company dedicated to supporting the state in improving transparency, accuracy and accountability in public revenue administration. SML has from its inception operated under full regulatory visibility, technical validation and ministerial oversight.
“We shall demonstrate to you that our client and its operations have been lawful, technically sound and nationally beneficial and that the claims of impropriety or underperformance are inconsistent with the verified evidence provided by state agencies themselves,” he stated.
