Government Communications Minister Felix Kwakye Ofosu has fired back at Parliament’s Minority, insisting the current administration inherited an economy in “shambles.”
Speaking on the 2026 Budget, he highlighted Ghana’s first-ever sovereign default and a plummeting credit rating, calling it a “Borla economy”, local slang for rubbish.
He stressed that economic performance should be judged by objective metrics, not partisan views, and urged the Minority to acknowledge the previous administration’s mismanagement instead of blaming the new government.
