“We Are Not Ordinary Police” — Commander Sends Strong Warning to the Public

A senior security commander has delivered a firm message to Ghanaians, urging the public not to be misled by social media claims that encourage confrontations with law enforcement.
According to him, his unit is not the “ordinary police” people are familiar with.
He explained that while officers always try to avoid deadly force, it remains a necessary part of their operations when they are attacked, and anyone who confronts them should expect a decisive response.
He pointed to the recent death of a suspect as a cautionary example, stressing that officers will always protect themselves and the public when threatened.
The commander also emphasized that no member of the force works out of personal interest; their only mission is to ensure a safe and secure society for all.
Below is the commander’s message as stated:
    1. Don’t let anyone on social media deceive you into thinking you can fight us.
    2. We are not the ordinary police you see around.

    3. Killing can be part of our operation, we avoid it, but sometimes it is expected.
    4. If you attack us once, we respond twice or even thrice.
    5. Remember, you could end up like the man who died, may his soul rest in peace, and let it be a deterrent to others.
    6. The public must understand that none of us is here for personal gain.
    7. We are here to ensure society remains safe for everyone.
A direct message “from the horse’s own mouth”:
