The District Court 1 at Adentan Fafraha in Greater Accra has ordered musician Black Sherif (Mohammed Ismail Sherif) to pay GH¢229,500 in outstanding rent for his Accra residence.

Since the artist could not be personally served with the court documents, the court approved substituted service, directing that the documents be posted both at the court and at his property at House No. 4,

Recreational Close, NTHC Estate, Adjiriganor.
The case was filed by Dr. Evelyn Esi Awittor, who claims that rent has remained unpaid since August 2024, with interest accumulating at the prevailing bank rate.

The court also directed Black Sherif to continue paying monthly rent of $1,700 (in cedis) until he vacates the property, allowing the case to proceed in his absence.
