A fake recruiting letter that was making the rounds on social media has been exposed by the Ghana Education Service (GES), which advised people to disregard it.
The letter made the untrue assertion that funding had been approved for the hiring of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching employees.
The Service emphasised that no such exercise has been declared in a statement signed by Daniel Fenny, Head of Public Relations, dated Sunday, September 21, 2025.
“Management wishes to state that the letter is FAKE and did not originate from GES. No such recruitment exercise has been announced yet,” the statement read.
All formal recruitment notices will only be distributed via the Ministry of Education’s and GES’s official channels, the organization stressed.
Job seekers and the general public were also advised by the Service to be on guard, ignore phony correspondence, and report any questionable actions connected to the scam.
