Celebrities are being urged by Ghanaian international model and climate advocate Victoria Michaels to reconsider their silence on important national concerns.

She believes that too many people are passing up the opportunity to make a difference and that a celebrity’s power is derived from both influence and glitz.

Victoria Michaels noted in an interview with Graphic Showbiz on Monday, September 15, 2025, that this lack of involvement leaves a number of urgent issues unsupported and frequently disregarded by the public and authorities.

She explained, “Celebrities have unmatched visibility. Choosing silence in the face of injustice or environmental degradation can imply consent or at least indifference.”

According to Ms Victoria Michaels, a lot of celebrities keep quiet for fear of losing endorsement deals, strained business relationships, or political reaction.
