The Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) has honoured the former President of the Association of Women Accountants in Ghana (AWAG), COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah (Mrs.), for her meritorious role in empowering female accountants in the country.

The Former Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office(EOCO) and current President of the Police Ladies Association(POLAS) was recognised by the ICAG for inspiring, uplifting and investing in the future of members, especially women accountants in the country. She has been singled out for praise, taking into account her commitment to sponsoring the Overall Best Female Candidate Level 1 and Level 2 awards at the Institute’s Graduation and Admission Ceremonies, held twice annually.

“Her continued commitment has not only elevated individual achievers but has also encouraged more women to aim for excellence in the accounting profession”, ICAG leaders disclosed at the 45th Graduation & Admission Ceremony, describing her as a true definition of an “Empowered Woman, Empowering the Profession”

COP Mrs Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo Danquah, a former Council Member of ICAG was a recipient of the prestigious award along with Ms Adwoa Nyamekye Agyei – Level 1 and Ms. Keziah Lartiorkor Lartey – Level 2, whose outstanding performances exemplify the talent and promise of women in the field.

The awards were presented by the Vice President of ICAG, Rev. Dr. Cynthia Sallah and Mrs. Akua Bonsu, the current AWAG President, alongside fellow AWAG Executives, in a moment that symbolised legacy, continuity, and shared celebration.

ICAG and AWAG extend heartfelt appreciation to COP Mrs. Addo Danquah for her visionary support and unwavering belief in empowering women through education and recognition.
