    NPP risks collapse into new party – Mustapha Gbande

    Deputy National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande, has issued a strong warning to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), cautioning that the ruling party’s conduct could ultimately lead to its political demise.

    Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Gbande argued that Ghanaians have already resolved to punish the NPP at the polls.

    “Ghanaians have made up their mind to punish the NPP, and they are looking for a government that will punish them.

    “By the time the NPP realises the full impact of what they did in government, they may be forced to register a new political party. Mark my words,” he said.

    He dismissed the NPP’s recent protests over alleged selective arrests, challenging them to produce evidence if they believe members of the NDC have engaged in wrongdoing.

    “How can they go on demo, accusing the government of selectivity of arrest? If they have evidence that any NDC member has done something wrong, they should bring it up,” he stressed.

    Reflecting on his own political lessons, Gbande revealed that he has become even more cautious about avoiding any controversies that the NPP might exploit.

    “I have learned lessons from what is happening, and I won’t even take loans. Even when I am given freely nkoko nketekete, I won’t take it. Because if I’m caught up in anything, the NPP will deal with me,” he added.
