Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah has called for unity and collective responsibility in addressing Ghana’s current challenges, even as he voiced disappointment over the government’s handling of key national issues.

Dr. Boakye-Danquah clarified that his criticism of President John Dramani Mahama’s administration is not rooted in political rivalry but in patriotism and a shared desire for national progress.

“I didn’t vote for him, of course, but I’m a Ghanaian. I pay taxes. I live here. I contribute to this country’s growth. So I want the President to succeed because when he succeeds, Ghana succeeds,” he said on Joy Prime as monitored by Lovinghananews.com.

The MP expressed concern over the government’s response to security and humanitarian issues, highlighting the displacement of more than 48,000 people in Burkina Faso and the potential health risks of disease outbreaks spilling into Ghana.

He urged President Mahama to confront these challenges with urgency and vision, describing this period as a defining test of leadership.

“President Mahama must rise to the occasion. This is his legacy presidency, how he handles this will define him,” Dr. Boakye-Danquah stated.

While acknowledging the difficulties the country faces, he emphasized hope and national solidarity, insisting that progress requires cooperation beyond political lines.

“I wish him well because Ghana must work,” he concluded.
