Minority leader Alexander Afenyo Markin has called on all five aspirants in the race to become flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to conduct their campaign with decorum.

According to him, they should avoid any form of divisive tendencies and remain focused on the bigger goal of building a stronger NPP and advancing national development.

He believes that their decision to contest is an important step in deepening the party’s internal democracy and strengthening the party’s traditions.

“I extend my warm congratulations to all the five (5) Presidential Aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP: Development in Freedom) who have successfully filed and submitted their nomination forms. This is an important step in deepening our internal democracy and strengthening the party’s traditions.

As we move into the next phase of the process, I urge all aspirants and their supporters to conduct their campaigns with decorum, unity, and mutual respect. Let us avoid divisive tendencies and remain focused on the bigger goal of building a stronger NPP and advancing our national development.

Indeed, the ELEPHANT is a winning symbol”.

Five persons have picked and filed their nominations to contest for the flagbearership role in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The five include Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who represented the party as flagbearer in the 2024 general election.

The others are Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Ken Ohene Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, and Dr. Yaw Adutwum.
