Sit the hell up and work for Ghana – KSM tells AG and Special Prosecutor

Veteran satirist and social critic Kwaku Sintim Misa, widely known as KSM, has expressed deep frustration over what he describes as institutional confusion between the Office of the Attorney General (AG) and the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

Speaking on The KSM Show monitored by Lovinghananews.com, the outspoken host questioned why Ghana continues to lose billions to corruption despite the establishment of multiple anti-graft agencies.

He pointed out that the Office of the Recovery of Assets (ORA) has received over 2,000 corruption-related complaints, yet only 36 have reached the Attorney General’s desk, with no clear evidence of prosecution or recovery.

“What’s going on between the Attorney General and the Special Prosecutor?” KSM asked during his monologue.

“You have 36 cases that could bring back over $20 billion, but there’s no action. Instead, the offices are busy fighting over who has more authority. Sit the hell up and work for Ghana.”

KSM argued that the AG and OSP’s ongoing turf war undermines Ghana’s anti-corruption drive and erodes public confidence in the justice system.

He stressed that collaboration, rather than rivalry, should guide their operations if the country is to make any progress in recovering lost public funds.

“This isn’t about egos or office mandates,” he added. “It’s about Ghana. People are suffering while billions sit in the pockets of corrupt officials.”
