Your amendments causing needless delays— Mustapha Hamid’s lawyers to OSP

One of the lawyers for Mustapha Hamid, Akbar Yussif Rohullah Khomeini has expressed worry over attempts by the office of the Special Prosecutor to delay the proceses in the case against his client.

It will be remembered that Lovinghananews.com earlier reported that the Office had increased the charges against Mustapha Hamid and 9 others standing trial from 25 to 54 following the discovery of new evidence from ongoing investigations.

But in a post shared via social media, Akbar Yussif Rohullah Khomeini could not fathom the amendment made by the OSP to the Charge sheet.

He indicated that this is the second time the OSP is delaying the commencement of the case with his ambush amendments.

Akbar sees the move as worrying indicating that it brings the case back to zero because they have to start all over again.

His position expressed in a social media post read “We were in court this morning in the matter of the NPA. Interestingly, the OSP has made another surprising amendment to the charge sheet.

This is the second time the OSP is delaying the commencement of the case with his ambush amendments.

At the last hearing on the 26th August, the same thing happened, prompting the judge to remind the OSP that the purported amendment filed on the 20th August, 2025 was not on the court’s records .

The action by the OSP has effectively destroyed the court’s orders of the 23rd July, 2025 directed at him to file disclosures by the 26th of August and witness statements by the 26th of September, 2025.

    We are back to zero”.
