In the latest polls released by Mussa Dankwa’s Global InfoAnalytics, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has taken the lead in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He leads with a commanding 52% among delegates of the political party.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who was the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party in the 2025 elections, is trailed by Kennedy Agyapong, who has 17% of the polls.

Followed by Kennedy Agyapong is Bryan Acheampong, who has 3% from the polls.

Former Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum had 1%. Former General Secretary Kwabena Agyapong, Boakye Agyarko, and Addai Nimo each received less than 1%.

Meanwhile, 10% of the delegates are undecided, while 9% declined to disclose their preference.

The poll surveyed 2,656 NPP delegates, with 2,560 completing all responses. Interviews were conducted from August 12 to 20, 2025, across 263 of the 276 constituencies using computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI). The survey has a confidence level of 99% and a margin of error of ±2.44%.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will go to the polls on January 31 to elect a leader who the party believes can lead it to victory in the 2025 elections.

They are of the view that an early primary will help douse the tension that exists in the political party.
